Annual General Meeting

Sunday, May 24, 2026 at 1 pm. online & in-person

This fun event (and legally mandated obligation as required by federal and provincial law) is a yearly gathering that we hold so that members who attend can learn about organizational activities and elect our Board of Directors.

While members aren't required to attend, each member's presence is appreciated and helps us to elect our Board of Directors. It's also a chance to raise questions and concerns in person.

We'll do our very best to make the procedural requirements enjoyable and speedy before offering space for meaningful conversations about our community.

Members can attend in person or participate virtually via Google Meet. The AGM location will be posted to our Meetup.com page as a regular event that members for which can RSVP.

Seeking Group Ambassadors and Board members

Volunteers add so much to our community: offering a welcoming presence, different skill sets, new ideas, and making up the numbers for a game of Catan or Tobago. With our group growing, we recently began a search for new volunteers to help us with events, administration, fundraising and planning.

We're happy to report that we've added to our ranks with new Group Ambassadors and Event Hosts, and we'll announce new board members at the May 2026 AGM, assuming approval from membership.

We're still hoping to see new applicants for these volunteer roles. There's no pay, but if you enjoy our programming and have ideas for group activities, volunteering helps us hold more events and opens the door for you to propose your ideas.

We provide training and support for all roles and it's entirely due to our expanded volunteer roster and recent subsidies that we can now offer a wealth of programming from baseball games to yoga and high tea.
